Six New "Team Members" Join Network

Six new "Team Members" have recently joined The PELICAN Security Network through its Member Companies in Dallas, TX; Covington, LA and Baton Rouge, LA.

PELICAN-authorized dealer CoSecurity, Inc. has recently added an experienced fire and security alarm specialist to its technical staff in Dallas; while Alarm & Security Technologies, Inc. has added three new employees — in its sales, service and technical departments — to its Covington office, which serves the entire South Louisiana / Mississippi / Alabama Region, with a focus on the "Northshore" across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, LA.

In addition, PELICAN has also added two customer service / collections specialists at is Operations Center in Baton Rouge.

Introducing the new Members of The PELICAN Team:


CoSecurity in Dallas, TX:

• Patrick Bogan has joined our technical staff at CoSecurity in Dallas. Patrick previously worked for 5 years with BCI Technologies in Grand Prairie, TX, where he was lead installer on burglar alarms, as well as a fire alarm technician and inspector. Licensed for both fire and security, Patrick has worked on every aspect of alarms, from initial wiring to full-system design, and is certified on both Silent Knight and Fire-Lite fire alarms, along with a wide variety of intrusion alert panels, and closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance systems. Prior to entering the security industry, Patrick gained a wide range of experience with Glazier Industries and in the glass manufacturing business in both Texas and Mississippi. Patrick will be reporting to Sherry Simms, Manager of CoSecurity in Dallas.


A&ST in Covington, LA:

• Douglas (Doug) Drysdale brings a similar breadth of experience to Alarm & Security Technologies (A&ST), in Covington, having previously worked for three established and highly-regarded providers, including Alarm Protection Services of New Orleans, Lafayette Alarm Services of Lafayette, and Louisiana Special Systems of Opelousas, LA. A certified life safety, property protection and fire detection technician, Doug is licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi, for both fire and security, and has experience in pre-wiring, design, installation, service and inspection of fire and burglar alarms, as well as access control, intercom, CCTV / camera systems, sound systems, and nurse call / emergency dispatch systems. Doug began his career in the electrical contracting business, and also worked in the retail and manufacturing in Texas, before returning to Louisiana to enter the security industry. Doug will be working with Michael Bath, Jared Fayard and Josh Bruhn, our lead service and installation technicians in Covington.

• Samantha (Sam) Edmondson, meanwhile, brings to A&ST specific hands-on business knowledge gained in the banking and financial services sectors, in addition to experience in the retail market. Sam studied business at the Louisiana Scholar's College at Northwestern State University before going on to join EMG Acquisition Group in Baton Rouge, LA, where she rose to the level of Assistant District Manager in their Lending Division, ultimately supervising 4 branch offices, with an average of 12 employees each. She then moved to Capital One Bank, and ultimately transferred with the bank to Mandeville, LA, where she assumed positions of increasing responsibility Teller, Adjustor, Team Leader and Closing Supervisor. Most recently, Sam worked as a Freight Manager and Assistant Store Manager, managing up to 15 employees, for Dollar Tree, Inc. Sam will be reporting to Nichole Komorowski, Office Manager for A&ST.

• Frank Annerino will also be working in the New Orleans / Northshore area for A&ST in a sales, business development and customer service capacity. Frank's entire career has been focused on sales and superior customer service, beginning when he was studying finance and hospitality management at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, LA. From there, Frank worked his way up from an entry-level position with the Hilton Hotels Corporation to become an Assistant Manager. Later, Frank served as General Manager and District Operating Partner for a chain of more than 7 locations of Ryan's Family Steakhouse, before ultimately opening his own restaurant and hospitality business. Most recently, Frank has worked as a financial advisor with Prudential Financial Corporation, one of the nation's largest financial services providers. Frank will be reporting to Jack Mitchell, Sales Manager for A&ST.


Operations Center in Baton Rouge, LA:

• Jacquline (Jackie) Townsend will be serving as a Collections Specialist in the Baton Rouge Operations Center, where she will be of assistance to all PELICAN-authorized dealers throughout the Network. Previously, Jackie worked as a Customer Service Representative for Team Toyota, a division of the Team Automotive, one of the largest automobile dealership groups in Baton Rouge. She previously worked in bookkeeping for the Kirby Place Homeowners Association, as well as in the retail sales industry. In addition, Jackie has committed a great deal of her time to volunteering in the education and non-profit sectors, with a special focus on agencies serving special needs students and their families. Jackie will be reporting to Alice Gutermuth, who manages our Central Office Collections Department.

• Latosha Reed, meanwhile, has actually re-joined PELICAN, having previously been an employee of the old, original PELICAN Funding Corporation in the 1990's and, before that, she an employee of two separate PELICAN-authorized alarm dealers, namely Beacon Alarms and Argus Security. Latosha then added to her core of direct "hands-on" in collectios and customer service by working for more than 7 years with Green Tree Financial Corporation, one of the nation's largest servicers of home loans, commercial mortgages, consumer loans and other financial products. Latosha will also be working in the Collections Department in Baton Rouge, reporting to Alice Gutermuth.
