Safeway Serves State's Fastest Growing Area

Safeway Industries, Inc. has recently joined The PELICAN Security Network.

In business for nearly two decades, Safeway Industries serves thousands of homes and business in the rapidly-growing "Northshore" region located across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans.

The Northshore – which includes the burgeoning Mandeville, Covington, Hammond and Slidell communities – has been recognized as one of fastest-growing areas in the State of Louisiana, and across the Gulf Coast Region.

Based in Mandeville and founded in 1991 by David W. Johnson, Safeway Industries has primarily worked with master home builders and real estate developers all along the Northshore, keeping pace with the tempo of new home development throughout this region.

In addition to electronic security and fire detection / suppression systems, Safeway has also been engaged in telecommunications, access control, automated gates and closed circuit surveillance systems.

Third New Member on Northshore:

James L. Shirah, Senior Technician and Office Manager of Safeway, will continue to spearhead the activities of the company and coordinate its efforts in concert with other members of the PELICAN Security Network in the New Orleans area.

In fact, upon joining The PELICAN Security Network, Safeway Industries is now part of the largest alliance independent security services providers, fire alarm companies, systems integrators and electrical contractors across the Southeastern, Southwestern and Midwestern United States.

More specifically, Safeway Industries has become the third new Network Member added in the New Orleans / Northshore in the past year, joining fellow independent dealers Campo Home Security and Westco Security Systems.
